Most flight schools in Canada will quote you the minimums set out by Transport Canada, however these minimums are for the most part unrealistic. We prefer to show our prospective students an actual cost break down based on proven and obtainable times. The vast majority of students that become pilots with us complete their Private Pilot License in the 55-65 hr range.

NOTE:  The above breakdown of costs is based on the average commercial student pilot who has finished his licensed in an average time (65 hrs) and is training in a Cessna 150/152. 

*A commercial license requires 100 hours of pilot-in-command time and 200 hours total flight time.  Students will normally have accumulated approximately 60 hours total flight time with the completion of their private pilot training program.  The commercial course requires an additional 65 hours of flight instruction.  The rest of the required hours can be flown as either dual or solo time as required and may include training toward multi-engine and instrument ratings.
