On this magnificent trip you will see the Cascade mountains including Mt. Baker, Mt. Church, Mt. Slesse and Mt. Cheam. Mount Baker is an ice clad volcano in the North Cascades of Washington State and is the highest peak for miles at 10,778 feet from sea level. This beautiful mountain is covered by ice and snow year round. In 1975 there was temperature increase in the centre of the crater area, which produced warm, acidic melt water and effusive emissions of steam containing occasional traces of ash and sulphur dust. Making some think it might become an active volcano in the future.
